Our goals are to provide a structured program to educate participants in all aspects of our youth football and cheer program. The success of our program will not be measured by our win-loss record or a competition placement, but by the sportsmanship, teamwork and respect we show others and ourselves on and off the field.

Our program will always be aimed at creating responsible and respectful youths that will work together as one family. In doing this, we will always provide a positive learning environment that will maintain the highest standards in athletics and academic achievement and will be a positive experience for all of our participants and parents.

Thank you to everyone that helped out at Jamboree last Saturday

The Jr. Vikings are having a Pep Rally on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Stadium. All the cheer and football squads will be there for it. It's going to be a lot of fun, you won't want to miss it. Let's all get together and get pumped up for the 2008 season.

Our First regular season game is this coming Saturday, August 30th at Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley vs. the NU Jr. Miners. To get to NUHS take I-80 East to Auburn and get on Hwy 49 North towards Grass Valley for approximately 27.5 miles, take the Gold Flat/Ridge Road exit and turn Left from the off ramp, NUHS is about 1.8 miles up on the left at 11761 Ridge Road. Have your child arrive at least 30 minutes before the weigh-in times listed below for their squad:

Mighty Mites - 8:00 am
Jr. Peewees - 10:00 am
Peewees - 12:00 noon
Jr. Midgets - 2:00 pm
Midgets - 4:00 pm

Game times in NU are MM - 9:00 am, JP - 11:00 am, PW - 1:00 pm, JM - 3:00 pm and MID - 5:00 pm.

See your team parent to volunteer for PAR or the Chain Gang at NU.

The Jr. Vikings are looking for volunteers! We need dedicated parents to help out before, during and after the season. If you are interested in taking on a bigger role in the operations of the organization, please talk to any board member. We are in need of a Football Equipment Manager and a Football Fundraising Coordinator. If you are able to help out with either of these duties or if you know of anyone that can, please email us at info@oakmontjrvikings.org or talk to any board member during practice, thank you. We need these dedicated volunteers to keep the program going strong.
